Very few people are ready for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. There are many Christians that believe that they are saved but they don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We need to be in a tight relationship with the King or else we will not be saved.
The Lord Jesus said: Not every one who says to Me, Lord, Lord will enter into the Kingdom but those who do the will of My Father. The will of the Father is that we OBEY the SON. We must be in a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ every moment of our lives. There are very few people that are in a relationship with Christ. Few people really seek God not even in the same house. You will find that in a house maybe one partner, one spouse will be serious with the Lord Jesus and the other one is not serious. The one will be taken when the Lord comes and the other one will stay behind. That is what the Lord Jesus said. We read in Matthew 24:40-42 “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
Is Jesus really your Lord, is He really the King of your life? Is He the most important person in your life? Are you spending your entire life every living moment in service of the King? Jesus is the King of that Kingdom and unless we regard Him as King and serve Him as King, treasure His Words and treasured spending time with Him then He is not really our King.
The door is closing and very, very few people are ready, extremely few. Now is the time to get ready. We each must have extra oil in our lamps, we cannot look at each other. Each of us will stand before the judgment throne of Christ. We love our spouses, we love our children and we pray for them but in the end it is you and Jesus alone, there is not going to be anybody there with us.
One will be taken and the one will be left. It is sad but it is true. We have the opportunity now to make sure that we are taken and not left.
