Prayer

Prayer

Lord, we see the scars on Your hands and feet and side.
We know how they got there,
and most especially, we know why they go there.
We are the ones who wounded You;
we drove in the nails and spear.
Look upon our repentance, O Lord,
see the sorrow for our sins and remember we belong now to You.
Praise You, Lord, for Your infinite riches of grace
poured out upon us at Calvary.
Give us the courage to stand fast for You,
to take up the cross of our love, even when it means scars and tears,
even if it means death for Your sake.
For this is our eternal joy and salvation, to know You,
our crucified and risen Lord.

Amen
