“Though the vision tarries – wait for it” (by Apostle Michael Anson)

Posted on

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,
but at the end it shall speak,
and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it;
because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
–Habakkuk 2:3

“Though the vision tarries – wait for it” is the Word that I am once again hearing in my spirit. It shall speak and not lie for it is God appointed and ordained. The Apostle Peter pointed out that perilous times shall come (cf. 2nd Timothy 3:1), and at times when faced with things that seem to contradict the promise we lose hope of ever seeing it come to pass. However, know this, God is a covenant keeping God and His promises are yea and amen. Faith in Him is crucial and an integral element needed for our survival as Christians, especially as we operate in the calling of God for our lives.

As humans we are so prone to trying to help God when He seems to be slow in responding or fulfilling what He has promised. Some may have received a prophetic Word and it seems as if the direct opposite of what was promised is happening. Guess what? Joseph must have felt like that too, because he was given a dream which he believed to the point of sharing it with his family (cf. Genesis 37:5, 23-29). Everything that transpired afterward could have easily been misconstrued as contradiction to any fruition of his dream of being placed in an honorable position.

The dream spoke of a promise but it never told or revealed to Joseph the process that would be required to bring him to the fulfillment or completion of the promise. In fact, it never told him that he would go from a pit to a prison. Yet in the midst of this Joseph was highly favored and was given stature even while in places that would socially be considered as being desolate, because Joseph’s attitude determined his altitude. He stayed in fellowship with God throughout the process because he realized that it was necessary for the fulfillment of his destiny.

When he finally stood before Pharaoh, Joseph had this witness that the Spirit of God was in him (cf. Genesis 41:14, 42-45). In Genesis 42:9 and 43:26 he was reminded of his dream and at last he saw the manifestation as dramatically it began to unfold right before his eyes. Listen, though the vision tarries, though it may seem like you are in the prison or the pit; even though the journey will process you – know that the vision shall speak and it will not lie.
Wait for it!!

Word For Today
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. – Daniel 6:3 – Every promise requires due process, but it’s through the process that integrity and character are formed.

Prophetic Word
“I still have you in the palm of My hand” says the Lord. “I am carrying you, I am with you. Remember where I brought you from, remember the times I’ve come through for you before and trust Me” says the Lord.
