Just a note, almost all of my prayers are based on the Scriptures, but some don’t know where I get my thoughts. So I thought that it might be helpful this morning if I gave a reference. I hope it doesn’t distract you from joining me in this prayer.
Greetings Father! It is a Fabulous Friday morning and we will sing a new song to you because you have done marvelous things in our lives! With your right hand and your holy arm, your won a great victory, and have shared it with us. Thank you. (Psalm 98:1-2)
Please let your loving-kindness comfort us, as you have promised in your Word. Let your compassion come to us, so that we can live! Your law is our delight. (Psalm 119:76-77)
As we journey through our day, we will confess you with whomever will listen, Father, we will sing praises to you among the nations. All because your loving-kindness is greater than the heavens and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. (Psalm 108:3-4)
So teach us to number our days so we can apply our hearts to your wisdom. (Psalm 90:12). We thank you Father for today and all that it holds. (I Thessalonians 5:18)
Guide and direct our steps. Use us for good to impact those we live with and those we see at work. (Jeremiah 7:23, & 16:17; Isaiah 45:12-13; John 16:13; Ephesians 2:10)
Change us! Open the eyes of our understanding to know You, Your will, Your ways. (Ephesians 1:15-20; Romans 12:2)
We thank You for your Word which transforms us into the likeness of your beloved Son. Penetrate our heart by the power of Your Holy Spirit and we will continue to yield to Your will and ways. (Joshua 1:9; 2 Corinthians 3:16-18; Romans 12: 1-2)
This morning we commit to rejoice and be glad and to walk with you as your Spirit guides and directs our steps! (John 16:13; Matthew 6:13; Psalm 118:24)
Amen! ~Nickolas Hiemstra who is awake and alive and chooses to celebrate the life he was given!
