Father, I woke to the voice of the Psalmist crying out, “Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praises to his Name for it is lovely.” Indeed we are! For it is in your righteousness that you deliver and set us free! Turn your ear to us this Satisfying and Joyous Saturday morning and strengthen us through Your Grace!. We are no longer toss around by the evil winds the world may throw at us. We stand strong in the power of The Name You have given us and through the Grace that we live with and enjoy!
We do thank You for this day You have made (although some of us would prefer it warmer, you know), but all of us are grateful that You have given it to us and everything that it holds. We commit our day into Your hands and trust that You lead and guide us for good and not for evil. In fact, guide and direct each step we take today. We ask for the wisdom in every decision we make and the grace to impact everyone around us with love, encouragement and courtesy. That includes any cashier, bagger, other drivers and most importantly, those we live with. We admit (and confess) that we are more inconsiderate and ruder to our family members and roommates. Forgive us and change us. Show us how to be more loving and kind. Change us! Open our eyes to know You, Your will, Your ways in everything we do, today.
We do thank You for your Word which is bringing about these changes. Please allow it to continue to penetrate our hearts by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We yield to Your will and every instruction you speak to our hearts. Because this is the day that You have made, and as an act of our wills and our desire to honor You, we WILL rejoice and be glad in it! Amen! ~Nickolas Hiemstra
